Please join us in welcoming Tina von Sachs as our new Sales Manager based in Las Vegas.
Tina is a native of Germany and been living in the USA for the past 25 years. She has a deep knowledge of the tourism industry and has also worked for the German National Tourist Board as Sales Manager in Los Angeles.
To get a better idea of her background, we asked her some questions:
Why did you join APPINA TRAVEL?
Tourism is my passion! After finishing school, I pursued a career as a travel agent which opened the door for me to work in various positions in the tourist industry. From Travel Agent to Flight Consolidator, from Sales Manager for a big tour operator in Munich to managing incoming tourism in Los Angeles, to working as the Sales Manager West Coast for the German National Tourist Office in Los Angeles. I had the opportunity to experience and work in different avenues which helped me to really understand the industry and I loved all of it! When my kids were born, I took a step back from travelling and devoted more time to them, yet the tourism bug never fully left me! When I was given the opportunity to come onboard with APPINA, the flame was ignited instantly. I knew that this was the perfect opportunity for me to combine my passion for travel with my culture and homeland Germany, as well as Central Europe. Being able to work with a team of wonderful, knowledgeable and genuine colleagues was just the icing on the cake! Everyone can sell travel but only a few have the knowledge, insight, wisdom and heart to sell trips one will never forget. APPINA deeply cares and delivers and I am proud to be part of it!
What is your experience in Europe/Germany?
I grew up in Germany and travelled extensively throughout Germany and Central Europe. I have been to Italy, Spain, Greece, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Canada, US, Australia, Hawaii. I love Germany, not only because it is my place of birth but also because it’s history, culture, nature and local scenes never ceases to amaze me. I immigrated to the US 25 years ago and am lucky to have two homes that I love and am grateful for. Being part of two countries for the majority of my life allowed me to get a unique insight and understand the American, as well as the German culture on a deeper level, especially when it comes to travel.
