Day 1: Arrival/ Overnight stay
Day 2: Munich’s architecture
In the morning, you receive an overview by way of a guided tour of the architectural contrasts of Munich. For example, you get Park town Schwabing with its art-nouveau houses and in contrast to that, the Olympia Stadium and then you have the new architecture as seen in the facelift, for example, of the million-strong city, in the Alliance Arena. However, it has to do with the awareness of life of the people, which left its impression on this generation. In the afternoon have a look at what is happening behind the scenes of the BMW World. Alternatively, allow someone to explain the fascinating architecture to you. In any case, here is quite a lot waiting to be discovered. Look forward to exciting and surprising insights in the "compact" and "architecture" tours. In the new BMW Museum, you experience everything represented by the trademark, BMW. Accommodation in Munich.
Day 3: Airport excursion, dinner & walk
In the morning you become acquainted with the Munich Airport with all its facilities. The airport excursion covers approximately 12 km of the total airport terrain. At the same time you see the movement areas of terminals 1 and 2, as well as those areas not open to the public. In the afternoon you travel to the Allianz-Arena stadium (subject to availability). You are shown a film projection of the origin of the Arena stadium, the player cubicles, the players' tunnel, the pitch, the interior of the stadium, the press club, the upper deck and you go for a walk on the outside of the Arena stadium. In the evening you experience the guided tour, "Dinner & Walk". Over an aperitif the guide talks about the evening's programme and explains the history and anecdotes regarding the evening walk. Appetizers and the main meal will be served in a restaurant in the old town of Munich. Then you are off to an in-bar, where you can expect a special dessert, to which you may select the cocktail of your choice. Accommodation in Munich.
Day 4: The Walchensee power plant and the Siemens forum
Today you visit the Walchensee power plant. It is the largest high-pressure-storage power plant in Germany. Annually 8 turbines deliver about 320 million kilowatt hours of ecologically beneficial energy. Look at the turbine models, interactive touch-screen terminals and let them vividly explain technology- and energy production to you. After that, you visit the exhibition in the Siemens Forum, Munich. The exhibition connects the early inventions of electro-technology with the latest trends in the virtual environment. Focal points are the following specialised fields: information and communication, energy, industry, traffic and health. Alternatively we recommend that you pay the German Museum a visit. It is one of the first scientific and technical museums of its kind in the world. Accommodation in Munich.
