Tour suggestion
Day 1: Arrival to Amsterdam
Arrival to Amsterdam and check into the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Amsterdam.
Day 2: Amsterdam
In the morning, you will have a guided tour of the city of Amsterdam. You will visit the Rijaks Museum, the Anne Frank House, and the chapel of “The Lady of all Nations”. In the afternoon drive to Volendam and take a tour of a cheese and clog factory. Dinner and overnight in Amsterdam.
Day 3: Rotterdam – Ghent – Bruges
Take the seaside road to look at the magnificent Delta waterworks and then proceed to take the 6 km long underwater tunnel under the Westerschelde to Flanders. You first stop at Ghent to visit the stupendous Van Eyck Altarpiece. Then to Bruges where you visit the statue of the Madonna by Michelangelo in the Church of our Lady and visit the Basilica of the Holy Blood. It houses the relic of the blood of Christ, reportedly brought to Bruges in 1150 after the second crusade. Dinner and overnight in Bruges.
Day 4: Bruges
Today, you will explore the medieval city of Bruges including the Béguinage, the castle and marketplace. You will have time to visit a brewery and taste the delicious Belgian beer. At the end of the day, you will do a short boat trip on Bruges’ channels. Dinner and overnight in Bruges.
Day 5: Brussels – Cologne
On your way to Germany you will stop by at Brussels – the capital of Belgium and center of the European Union. After arrival in Cologne, you will get a guided city tour and see the famous Cathedral as well as the chocolate museum. Dinner and overnight in Cologne.
Day 6: Heidelberg via Rhine Cruise & Rhine Valley
You continue your journey to Heidelberg. Part of your tour will be done by boat on the beautiful Rhine. Enjoy the peaceful valleys and nice scenery! In Heidelberg, you will have a guided tour of the historical center and castle. Dinner and overnight in Heidelberg.
Day 7: Rothenburg – Nuremburg
In the morning, you will have a guided tour of the city of Rothenburg. You could visit the interesting Crime Museum here. Afterwards, you will explore the city of Nuremberg. For example, you can see the St. Sebald Church, the Church of Our Lady, the St. Lawrence Church. Dinner and overnight in Nuremburg.
Day 8: Augsburg – Munich
After breakfast you will continue your journey to Augsburg. Here, you will get a guided tour of the historical city center and see the beautiful Town Hall as well as the Fuggerei. Afterwards, travel to Munich where you stay for the following three nights. Dinner and overnight in Munich.
Day 9: Munich
After breakfast you will have a guided walking city tour through Munich. You will see many of the important sights of the city center e.g. the town hall, Marienplatz and the „Cathedral of Our Dear Lady“. Optionally you can visit in the afternoon the Olympia Park or the BMW museum (not included in the price). In the evening you will have a typical Bavarian dinner in a restaurant. Overnight in Munich.
Day 10: Neuschwanstein Castle – Oberammergau
Today you will visit the impressive and well-known Neuschwanstein Castle during a guided tour. Afterwards you will do a stop at the World Heritage Wies Church and stop in the town Oberammergau, well-known for its Passionplays. Dinner and overnight in Munich.
Day 11: Liechtenstein – Lucerne
On your way to Switzerland you will pass the small country of Liechtenstein. Here you will have time for a short stroll through the city of Vaduz and lunch. Afterwards, continue to Lucerne. Dinner and overnight in Lucerne.
Day 12: Lucerne
This morning you will have a guided city tour through Lucerne. In the afternoon you will have some free time e.g. for doing a boat tour on the Lake Vierwaldstätter See. Dinner and overnight in Lucerne.
Day 13: Excursion to the area of Interlaken/Grindelwald/Jungfraujoch
Today you will do an excursion to the mountains and drive to the area of Interlaken, Grindelwald and Jungfraujoch. Beside some time to visit the city of Interlaken, you will have the possiblity to ride up the mountains with a cable car and enjoy the view. Dinner and overnight in Lucerne.
Day 14: Einsiedeln – Zurich
Breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards you will drive to Zurich. En route, you stop at the Monastery of Einsiedeln where the famous shrine is located. Here, you will obtain a tour of the monastery before continuing to Zurich. Dinner and overnight in Zurich.
Day 15: Zurich
In the morning, you will explore the beautiful city of Zurich during a guided city tour. The afternoon is free – maybe you want to go for a last souvenir shopping? Dinner and overnight in Zurich.
Day 16: Departure
After breakfast you will have the transfer to Zurich Airport for departure.
