Day 1: Arrival in Berlin
Arrival in Berlin - Check-In and time for a first orientation. Dinner and overnight stay in the area of Berlin.
Day 2: Berlin and Potsdam
During a full day guided tour you will see East and West Berlin, Red Town Hall, Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz and the “New West” with Ku’damm and the Olympic Stadium. In the afternoon you will go to Potsdam, where you can see the Sanssouci palace from the outside. No other palace is so much connected with the personality of Frederick the Great as Sanssouci. The palace was designed to fulfill King Frederick's need for a private residence where he could relax. The palace's name emphasizes this; it is a French phrase (sans souci), which means "without worries" symbolizing that the palace was a place for relaxation rather than a seat of power. Day 3: Cologne
As soon as you arrive in Cologne you will meet your guide for a 2,5-hour city tour incl. visit of the cathedral. The city tour gives you an overview of the main attractions of the city. By bus, you pass the remains of the Roman and medieval city walls and you will learn more about these eras. Highlight of this day is the visit of the majestic cathedral of Cologne. Dinner and overnight stay in the area of Cologne.
Day 4: Cologne – Brussels – Paris
If you have enough time you can do a short tour through the capital of Belgium before you arrive in France, Paris. Dinner and overnight stay in the area of Paris. Day 5: Full day Paris incl. Palace of Versailles In the morning you will see the main sights of Paris. Afterwards you go to the Palace of Versailles. During a walk through the park and gardens you will learn more about the details, stories and legends about the kings of Versailles. Then you have the possibility to visit the castle interior on your own. Dinner and overnight stay in the area of Paris.
Day 6: Louvre and Centre Pompidou
After breakfast you will visit the Louvre incl. guided tour. The Louvre is the largest museum in the world and attracts more than 5 million visitors per year. During a tour of the Louvre, you will learn about the interesting exhibits. Next highlight is “The Centre national d'art et de culture Georges Pompidou”, better known as Centre Pompidou which is a public art and cultural center in Paris. It should ensure all residents and tourists free access to knowledge. It houses the Musée National d'Art Moderne with important works of the 20th Century, the library Bibliothèque Publique d'Information (BPI) with 2000 reading places, the music research center IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique / Musique), a children's workshop, cinema, theater and lecture rooms, a bookstore, a restaurant and a café.
