Day 1: Welcome to Berlin Spandau
Spandau is one of the greenest quarters of Berlin and situated at the banks of the Havel River.
Spandau has much to offer: historic fortifications, division during the Cold War, fascinating industrial culture and its beautiful south.
After arrival at the airport Berlin Brandenburg, your tour guide will meet you at the airport.
Transfer to your hotel in the region of Spandau, time to settle in and relax.
A guided walk through the historic old town with its lively pedestrian zone and the mighty Citadel will give you a first orientation.
In the evening you will enjoy a Welcome Dinner at your hotel.
Day 2: Parks, Lakes and Castles
The region around Spandau is characterized by rural charm, lakes and rivers. Your local guide will show you today the best places at the waterfront and on the water as well as the most romantic and paradisiacal parks and gardens in the region. Go on lively time travels back into the brilliant era of the Prussian kings and queens.
In the afternoon relax on a boat cruise called "Tour of 7 Lakes" : During the two-hour tour you will enjoy beautiful views of many UNESCO world heritage sites in Berlin and Potsdam along the route of 7 lakes.

Day 3: History
First visit today is the House of Wannseeconference which is a Memorial and Educational Site today. In 1942, fifteen high-ranking representatives of the SS, the NSDAP and various Reich ministries discussed here their cooperation in the planned deportation and murder of the European Jews.
Next stop is Glienicke Brücke which is also known as bridge of spies during the Cold War. Next to the historic background, the bridge is famous for its wonderful view of the Havel region.
After the Wannseeconference, the next important historical event was Potsdam Conference which took place at Cecilienhof Country House in 1945. You will enjoy a multi media tour trough the exhibition of Cecilienhof Castle.
Afterwards you will get insights into the life during the Cold War. The border ran around Spandau and also cut off the people of Spandau from their neighbors. A walk along the Berlin Wall Trail gets you insights about the German division. You will see memorial markers and remnants of the former wall which still remain to the segmentation.

Day 4: Technology and Historical Culture
Droning, rattling, thundering ... the historical development of the borough is strongly marked by an industrial past whose traces can still be seen today.
Your local guide will show you remainings from the industrial past of Spandau. You will see former factories which are used today totally different. For example a former Prussian gunpowder factory is a bouldering hall and craft beer brewery today. You will also see the large Siemensstadt housing estate which was built as residential area for commuting workers which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site today.
In the afternoon a guided visit of BMW Motorcycle Plant awaits you. It has a long tradition as production site and an exciting history. Join experts for a look behind the scenes of the production of motorcycles.

Day 5: Berlin
Enjoy a day excursion to the city center of Berlin. Relax and enjoy Berlin’s highlights during a guided sightseeing tour. You will see impressive buildings such as the magnificent Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag and the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Memorial Church. You will learn about the history of Berlin by visiting Checkpoint Charlie, learn about the life in the Eastern and Western parts of Berlin and about its cultural diversity. Enjoy a typical Currywurst for lunch and an insight into Berlins cool corners. Street art and urban gardening is all around. Our guide will show you places which would never find on your own.

Day 6: Famous Attractions: Sanssouci Castle & Potsdam
Today will you go on an excursion to Potsdam.
During a guided city tour you will see the most beautiful places and attractions of Potsdam such as the imposing city castle that once served as the principal and winter residence of the kings of Prussia. Afterwards, you have free time to stroll through the small streets of the Dutch Quarter.
After lunch you will discover Sanssouci Castle and its enormous gardens. For Berlin repeaters we suggest a guided visit of the New Palais.

Day 7: At your own
Start your day with a visit to the Havelland country and farmers' market which offers the opportunity to taste and buy products from the local area.
Afterwards you have free time and can go shopping, relax at the lake front or rent a sailing boat or kayak.

Day 8: Departure or Continue your trip to another region
