Tour suggestion
Day 1: arrival
Arrival at the airport in Munich. Dinner and overnight in the area of Munich.
Day 2: Füssen
Today you will go ahead to Füssen. There you will visit the impressive and well-known Neuschwanstein Castle. Afterwards you can do a short hiking tour around the lake Hopfensee (duration: about 1,5 hrs). Dinner and overnight in the area of Füssen/Schwangau.
Day 3: Hiking and Innsbruck
After breakfast you will have time for a hiking tour at lake Alatsee and Saloberalm near Füssen (duration: about 3 hrs). You will start at the parking Morisse at the Kemptener Street and hike to Bad Faulenbach and continue through the Faulenbacher Tal to lake Alatsee. On the northern part of the lake you will take a trail upwards to the Saloberalm. There you can get some refreshments. Afterwards you will go to Innsbruck. Dinner and overnight in the area of Innsbruck.
Day 4: Innsbruck
Today you will have a guided city tour in Innsbruck. You will see the old town of Innsbruck as well as the Bergisel Jump. Furthermore you will visit the Ambras Castle that is located above Innsbruck. In the later afternoon you will have some free time. Dinner and overnight in the area of Innsbruck.
Day 5: Innsbruck
Today you will have time to do some hiking in the area of Innsbruck. For example you can take the Nordkettenbahn (Hungerburgbahn/Seegrubenbahn) directly from the city center to the mountain. Different hiking routes are accessible here. Dinner and overnight in the area of Innsbruck.
Day 6: Hiking South Tyrol
This morning you will go to South Tyrol. There you can do a hiking tour around the Pragser Wildsee (1494 m). This tour is about 10 km distance, 270 vertical meters, approx. 3 – 3,5 hrs of walking. You will hike around the lake to the Günwaldalm (here you have possiblity to get some refreshments). Afterwards you will continue to Alten Kaser (1751m) and return. Dinner and overnight in the area of South Tyrol.
Day 7: Berchtesgadener Land
After breakfast you will continue your journey to the area of the Berchtesgadener Land. After arrival you will do a boat tour on the lake Königssee. Dinner and overnight in the area of the Berchtesgadener Land.
Day 8: Hiking in the Berchtesgadener Land
Today you will have time for hikin. You will hike about 9 km distance to a mountain pasture This circular hike starts at Bad Reichenhalls visitors center (Kurgastzentrum) and leads through Rupertuspark to the Saalachdammweg. Follow the river upstream and take the Nonner Steg, the footpath between the tennis courts and the Nonn stadium on to the church of Nonn. From here, 150 m straight up to Gasthaus Padinger Alm for a great view and refreshments. A suggested return is via the path down on the right of the road to Buchhof and then via Hosewaschbach and the Nonner Auwald back to Nonner Steg, ending back at the visitors center. Dinner and overnight in the area of the Berchtesgadener Land.
Day 9: Eagle’s nest and salt mines
After breakfast you will first visit the eagle’s nest. Afterwards you will explore the salt mines in Berchtesgaden. In the afternoon you will continue to Munich. If you have time, you can drive to Salzburg for a short stop. Dinner and overnight in the area of Munich.
Day 10: Munich
After breakfast you will have a guided city tour through Munich. There you will see many of the important sights of the city. Optionally you can visit the Olympia Park or the BMW museum (not included in the price). Dinner and overnight in the area of Munich.
Day 11: departure
Today you will leave Germany. Coach transfer to the airport Munich.
