Day 1: Arrival in Nuremberg

Dinner and overnight stay in Nuremberg.


Day 2: Nuremberg

After breakfast your tour guide will show you Nuremberg. Nuremberg was once an imperial residence, a powerful free imperial city and an international trading center. The walking tour through the Old Town offers information and insights on the castle, the fountains and wells, churches and art as well as the city itself past and present.
Afterwards, you continue to the Memorial Camp in Dachau where you will do a self-guided tour. The Memorial Site on the grounds of the former concentration camp was established in 1965 on the initiative of and in accordance with the plans of the surviving prisoners who had joined together to form the Comité International de Dachau. Dinner and overnight stay in Munich.


Day 3: Munich

Today you will explore Munich. During your tour you will see Munich´s most in triguing sights, e.g. Victuals´ Market, Marienplatz, Sendlinger Gate, Palace of Justice, New Court, Opera. The tour offers an exciting variety of sights and many anecdotes!
In the afternoon you will visit the Pinakotheks. The Alte Pinakothek (Engl. Old Pinakothek) is an art museum situated in the Kunstareal in Munich, Germany. It is one of the oldest galleries in the world and houses one of the most famous collections of Old Master paintings. The Neue Pinakothek covers 19th century art and the Pinakothek der Moderne exhibits modern art, all galleries are part of Munich's "Kunstareal" (the "art area"). Dinner and overnight stay in Munich.


Day 4: Herreninsel & Herrenchiemsee Castle

After breakfast you will go to Prien am Chiemsee. From here you take a boat to Herreninsel. The Herreninsel in the Chiemsee has an area of around 240 hectares and has numerous sights with the Royal Palace, the park and waterworks, the museum and the two galleries in the Augustinian Monastery. You will visit the New Palace, King Ludwig II Museum and museum and galleries in the Augustinian Monastery.
On your way back to Munich will do a guided tour through Rosenheim. You will see the most important sights like Gillitzerblock, Max-Josefs-Platz, Hl.-Geist-Kirche, the town hall and many more. Dinner and overnight stay in Munich.


Day 5: Munich

Today you will visit Nymphenburg Palace. Your visit also includes the Marstallmuseum (carriages and sleighs) and the park palaces Amalienburg, Bodenburg, Pagodenburg & Magdalenenklause.
In the afternoon your next highlight is the Residenz Museum incl. Treasury. The Munich Residenz served as the seat of government and residence of the Bavarian dukes, electors and kings from 1508 to 1918. The display of jewels, goldsmith's work, enamels, crystal objects and ivories in the Treasury of the Munich Residenz is the result of centuries of avid collecting by the rulers of Bavaria. 
Last highlight of this day is Villa Stuck. The Villa Stuck, built in 1898 and established as a museum in 1992 and located in the Munich quarter of Haidhausen, is a museum and historic house devoted to the life and work of the painter Franz Stuck. Dinner and overnight stay in Munich.


Day 6: Wieskirche, Neuschwanstein & Linderhof

Today you will leave the capital of Bavaria and continue your trip to Oberammergau. On your way you will visit Wies Church. The church was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1983 and underwent extensive restoration between 1985 and 1991.
Afterwards you will visit Neuschwanstein Castle. The tour (audio guide in French) of the palas (the residential part of a medieval castle) begins with a view into the servants' rooms with authentic oak furnishings on the first upper floor. The rooms on the second floor were never finished and today house a shop, a cafeteria and a multimedia room. The apartments and state rooms of the king are on the third and fourth floors.
Next highlight of this day is Linderhof Castle. Linderhof Palace, the eventual result of a long period of building and rebuilding, is the only large palace King Ludwig II lived to see completed. Dinner and overnight stay in the area of Oberammergau. 


Day 7: Ettal Abbey - Rothenburg - Wuerzburg

After breakfast you will visit Ettal Abbey (Kloster Ettal). This is a Benedictine monastery in the village of Ettal close to Oberammergau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria, Germany. You will do a tour through the Basilika (only possible in German). Additionally, we can also organize a tour through the distillery and/or the brewery museum.
Afterwards you continue your trip to the North. Next stop is Rothenburg. During a guided tour you will see the most important sights like the St. Jakobskirche. Furthermore you will learn a lot about the history of the city and its buildings and places. Dinner and overnight stay in Wuerzburg. 


Day 8: Wuerzburg

You will begin this day with a city tour through Wuerzburg where you will see the Marienkapelle (Chapel of St. Mary), the “Falkenhaus” featuring an elaborate Rococo façade, admire the historic town hall, and the Romanesque cathedral St. Kilian.
In the afternoon you will visit fortress Marienberg. The original castle on the Marienberg was probably a small fort built early in the 8th century. From 1200 an unusually large castle was built, which was extended during the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance. In 1945 the fortress was almost completely burned out, and its reconstruction was only completed in 1990. Dinner and overnight stay in Wuerzburg. 


Day 9: Way back home
