Day 1: Arrival to Mayence
Arrival to Mayence and after checking into the hotel, you will have a walking tour of Old Mayence. Afterwards, there will be a traditional dinner in a German pub in the Old Town of Mayence. Overnight in Mayence.
Day 2: Mayence
Today, you will see the Cathedral, embedded in the Old Town and the Gutenberg Museum with the Gutenberg Bible. Moreover, you will visit St. Stephen’s Cathedral, located high above the city, to admire the rare blue windows designed by Marc Chagall. Dinner and overnight in Mayence.
Day 3: Bacharach
After breakfast you will continue your travel from Mayence to Bacharach (on the Rhine). Here you can stay in a scenic Youth Hostel which is an old castle on the hill in Bacharach. After check-in, you explore the village and enjoy a ship cruise on the Rhine. You will discover several castles and the famous Lorelei. The legend tells us, that a siren called "Lorelei" bewitched the hearts of the sailors and when they looked up to the rock, their boat crashed and they sank. Dinner and overnight in Bacharach.
Day 4: Cologne
In the morning, you leave by train for Cologne. After check into the hotel, you will walk to the popular Cathedral and the world famous Roman Museum. In the afternoon, you will have time to visit the chocolate or perfume factory and to go shopping. Dinner and overnight in Cologne.
Day 5: Departure In the morning, breakfast and departure.
