Tour Suggestion
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival by plane to Berlin, Prague or Dresden. Your tour escort will welcome you at the airport then you transfer to Dresden. Start your adventure with a guided city tour of this famous city at the Elbe river. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Bad Schandau to Dresden (approx. 54 km / 33.5 miles)
Bad Schandau is the beginning of the Elbe cycle path. Here you will cross the Elbe twice by boat and cycle past Dresden's beautiful vineyards and castles. You can stop at Pillnitz Castle and walk through the beautiful castle park. Dinner together and overnight in Dresden.
Day 3: Dresden to Riesa (approx. 53 km / 33 miles)
From Dresden you start on the Elbe cycle path past the picturesque Old Town - in the direction of Radebeul and Meissen - both cities are famous for their exquisite Saxon wines. Arrival in Riesa. Dinner together and overnight in Riesa.
Day 4: Riesa to Torgau (approx. 70 km / 43.5 miles)
Today you will head towards Torgau, a city of the Renaissance and Reformation. On the way you will see Kloeden Castle, Lichtenburg Castle in Dommitzsch and finally the tower Hausmannsturm in Torgau. Afterwards, the bus will pick you up and take you to Dessau, dinner together and overnight stay in Dessau.
Day 5: Dessau with BAUHAUS and Wittenberg (approx. 40 km / 25 miles)
After breakfast you will go by bus to Wittenberg which was once the home of the reformer Martin Luther. Here, you can visit the historical sites where the Reformation ran its course. From here, you cycle along the Elbe cycle path back to Dessau, marveling at the Woerlitz garden paradise and enjoying the extensive park area. Dessau is famous for its Bauhaus architecture. Based on interdisciplinary teachings, which combined art, architecture and craftsmanship, Bauhaus created a comprehensive approach to building design and function. You can visit the Bauhaus Building, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dinner together and overnight in Dessau.
Day 6: Dessau to Halle (approx. 80 km / 50 miles)
Today the route leads you in the direction of Magdeburg until the 40th kilometer where you leave the Elbe cycle path and turn off onto the Saale cycle path, as far as Bernburg. From there the bus will take you to Halle. Dinner together and overnight in Halle.
Day 7: Halle to Naumburg (approx. 60 km / 37 miles)
After breakfast, you cycle along the Saale cycling path in the direction of Naumburg, where you cross an idyllic valley surrounded by vineyards. The highlight is dinner together at a regional winery. Afterwards, the bus will take you back to the hotel in Halle.
Day 8: Journey home
After breakfast you will start your journey home - with many new memories and hopefully without sore muscles in your luggage.
