Best of Germany: An educational tour from Berlin to Munich

Program schedule:

Day 1: Berlin – History

Welcome to Berlin! Your tour guide will meet you at the airport, where you will board your private coach to transfer into the city. During a guided tour of Berlin you will see for example the famous street Kurfurstendamm and the church Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedachtniskirche, which became the symbol of Berlin after WWII, the Reichstag Building and the Brandenburger Tor. Afterwards a visit to the Allied Museum will enlighten and inform, providing a comprehensive view of how the turbulent political agendas of various nations helped shape the culture of Berlin. Dinner and overnight stay in Berlin.

Day 2: Berlin - Street art and urban gardening

You cannot find this on your own and it’s not in any travel guide! This is “IN” and constantly on the move. In the morning you’ll see Berlin street art, which will make you smile, think or even find yourself in it. You’ll learn everything about the contrasts between gentrification and modern urban development. You’ll be immersed in the most popular quarter where contemporary artists settle and become immortalized. Of course you can also see the East Side Gallery - but where does art live in the now? Where is the unique street art on house walls, in parks and on the banks of the river Spree? A visit of the Urban Nation Museum for Urban Contemporary Art will give you an answer.

For lunch we’ll show you the cafés that are in: nothing big but the little insider tips, vegan, ethnic or burgers. The taste of Berlin!

Making blooming gardens out of nothing. The afternoon is marked by urban gardening. You see cool gardens, the likes of which you can only find in Berlin. Let yourself be transported into a very special atmosphere when you visit the communal garden on a former airfield where vegetables are now grow and the focus is on cultural and social exchanges. Discover a special kind of garden in the middle of Berlin's "concrete desert" and marvel at the view of the city. This tour will show you why Berlin is so unique and endearing! You would NEVER find these attractions on your own. Dinner and overnight stay in Berlin.

Day 3: Potsdam, Sanssouci Park & Dresden
