Day 1: Arrival
Welcome to the capital of Bavaria. Your tour escort and coach driver will welcome you at the airport of Munich. Take a city tour to discover city of Munich. A walking tour will give you the opportunity to admire the fine architecture and sights of Munich. View the stately buildings surrounding the Marienplatz (Mary's Square), including the dramatic Gothic architecture of The Old City Hall. The impressive façade of the New Town Hall with its cheerfully animated and melodic glockenspiel, will be certain to entrance visitors. The 2nd part is a panoramic tour by coach. Enjoy spectacular views of the fantastic Nymphenburg Palace, a truly gorgeous building. The Englischer Garten (English Garden), with its extensive grounds complete with bridges, waterfalls, flora and fauna, is a wonderful stop on your tour of Munich.

Day 2: A culinary and historical tour of Upper Bavaria
Discover a huge variety of culinary pleasures during an exceptional taste tour through the Viktualienmarkt. Afterwards delve into the rural past of Bavaria by visiting the Glentleiten open-air museum situated among the beautiful alpine foothills. This impressive facility consisting of nearly 60 buildings authentically furnished and equipped provides a living snapshot of life way back. End the evening on a “Bavarian” note at a traditional pub with Bavarian folk music.

Day 3: Summit scalers – Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Zugspitze
Garmisch-Partenkirchen is one of the most famous resort towns in the Bavarian Alps. After an impressive city tour to introduce the Olympic city, you will continue on to the highest mountain in Germany: the Zugspitze. A cog-wheel train takes you directly to the only glacier in Germany, the Zugspitzplatt. The glacier cable car then takes you to the summit where you can enjoy an alpine panorama of four countries! Take the Eibsee cable car to the beautiful Eibsee lake, and then the cog-wheel train back down to lower elevations.

Day 4: “The fairy tale prince’s castles” – Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Castles
First stop today is Neuschwanstein Castle. The reclusive king Ludwig II built the castle between 1869 to 1886 “in the traditional romantic style of old German knight’s castles” in order to escape into a fantasy world away from the public, but after his death, it became the most visited castle in Europe. After the tour of the palace you have some free time to enjoy the idyllic setting of the castle. In the afternoon, you will continue to the castle of Linderhof. Linderhof, the eventual result of a long period of building and rebuilding, is the only large palace King Ludwig II lived to see completed.
