Tour suggestion
Day 1: Arrival Munich
Upon arrival at the airport in Munich, you will be met by your tour escort and coach. Afterwards you will have a guided city tour of Munich. You will see the main sights, e.g. the town hall, Marienplatz and the "Cathedral of Our Dear Lady", Olympia area and the Residence,... Dinner and overnight in Munich.
Day 2: Munich
Today you will visit the BMW museum and the Football Stadium (Allianz Arena). In the afternoon you will visit the memorial site concentration camp Dachau, which is located near Munich. In the evening you will enjoy dinner at a typical restaurant (e.g. Hofbraeuhaus) in Munich. Overnight in Munich.
Day 3: Neuschwanstein Castle
After breakfast you will start your excursion to the area of Fuessen/Schwangau. There you will visit the impressive and well-known Neuschwanstein Castle. On the way back to Munich, you will stop at the Wies Church in Steingaden and/or the town Oberammergau (known for the passionplays). Dinner and overnight in Munich.
Day 4: Munich - Berchtesgaden - Salzburg
Breakfast at your hotel. Today you will continue your journey towards Salzburg, Austria. On the way, you will visit the Salt Mine Berchtesgaden and you will do a boat tour on the Koenigssee, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. Dinner and overnight in Salzburg.
Day 5: Salzburg - Melk Abbey - Vienna
After breakfast you will explore the city center of Salzburg with its main sights during a guided tour. Then you will drive to the Melk Abbey, which is nice located next to the Danube in the Wachau valley. After the visit of the Melk Abbey, you will continue to Vienna.
Day 6: Vienna
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your local guide and enjoy a guided tour of the city. You will see Vienna's city centre, e.g. with St. Stephen's Dome, the Graben, the City Hall, and the Hofburg (house of the emperors). In the afternoon you will visit the beautiful Castle Schoenbrunn. Afterwards you will have some free time, thus you can stroll around in the park of the Castle, you can visit the Zoo or just do some souvenirs shopping. This evening, you will enjoy dinner at the folkloristic Grinzing quart or another quart known for wine and wine restaurants. Overnight in Vienna.
Day 7: Vienna - Budapest
Breakfast at the hotel. Before leaving Vienna, you can enjoy some time on the area of the Prater, where you will have a ride with the big wheel. Enjoy the view from the top of the wheel! Afterwards you will continue to Budapest, you might stop in the town Gyoer. Dinner and overnight in Budapest.
Day 8: Budapest
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning you will have a guided city tour of Budapest, where you will see the main sights, e.g. the Matthias Church and the Fisherman's Bastion. In the afternoon you will visit the well-known Goedoelloe Palace near Budapest. (Alternatively you could do an excursion the area of the Danube bend) This evening you will enjoy your farewell dinner at a restaurant. Overnight in Budapest.
Day 9: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Budapest airport for your return flight.
