Day 1: Arrival in Frankfurt & Transfer to the Black Forest
Upon arrival at Frankfurt Airport, meet your tour escort and driver. If time permits, enjoy a short stop in Heidelberg, Germany’s oldest university town, renowned for its romantic old town and the impressive Heidelberg Castle, whose red sandstone ruins overlook the Neckar River.
In the evening, arrive in the Black Forest region, enjoy a warm welcome dinner, and settle into your hotel surrounded by tranquil nature.
Day 2: Exploring the Black Forest
The Black Forest is famous for its dense evergreen trees, idyllic villages, and traditional crafts. The Brothers Grimm found inspiration for their fairy tales here, and the region remains synonymous with folklore and charm.
Travel along the scenic Black Forest High Road (Schwarzwaldhochstrasse), visit a local smokehouse to learn the art of ham-smoking with a tasting of authentic Black Forest ham, and watch a demonstration of the world-famous Black Forest cake.
You’ll also visit a cuckoo clock workshop and an open-air museum, showcasing how people lived and worked in this region over the past 400 years. Dinner and overnight in the Black Forest region.
Day 3: From the Black Forest to Munich
Today you travel east toward Bavaria. En route, stop in Stuttgart to visit the Mercedes-Benz Museum, an architectural masterpiece that traces over 130 years of automotive history. Continue to Munich, Bavaria’s lively capital, where you’ll enjoy a hearty dinner in a traditional brewery restaurant. Overnight in Munich.
Day 4: Excursion to Upper Bavaria
A day of breathtaking scenery awaits you as you drive through Upper Bavaria, known for its blue lakes, lush green meadows, and charming villages. The highlight is a guided visit to the legendary Neuschwanstein Castle, built by King Ludwig II in the 19th century. Perched high above the village of Hohenschwangau, this fairy-tale castle inspired Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle.
On your return, visit Oberammergau, famous for its Passion Play and woodcarving traditions, and stop at the exquisite Wieskirche, one of the most beautiful examples of Bavarian Rococo architecture. Dinner and overnight in Munich.
Day 5: Munich & Transfer to Nuremberg
After breakfast, discover Munich on a guided city tour, including the Marienplatz with its famous Glockenspiel, the Frauenkirche, and the Munich Residence, once home to Bavarian kings.
Enjoy some free time for lunch before continuing north to Nuremberg. Dinner and overnight in Nuremberg.
Day 6: Discovering Nuremberg
Nuremberg enchants visitors with its medieval charm, surrounded by massive city walls and towers. During a guided tour, see the Imperial Castle, Main Market Square, and the Church of Our Lady.
The city is also famous for its gingerbread and Christmas Market. Later, explore the historic rock cellars, an underground labyrinth once used for fermenting and storing beer. Enjoy free time in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Nuremberg.
Day 7: Excursion to Rothenburg ob der Tauber
Step back in time with a visit to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of Germany’s best-preserved medieval towns. Stroll through cobblestone streets lined with half-timbered houses, admire the intact city walls, and experience its fairy-tale atmosphere during a guided walking tour.
Don’t miss tasting the local specialty, the “Snowball” pastry. Spend the afternoon at leisure in Rothenburg or return to Nuremberg. Overnight in Nuremberg.
Day 8: Nuremberg to Dresden via Bamberg
Today’s journey takes you to Bamberg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its baroque architecture and old-world charm. The Old Town Hall, dramatically built on a bridge over the Regnitz River, and the picturesque quarter called “Little Venice” are true highlights.
Enjoy a guided city tour and a tasting of Schlenkerla smoke beer, one of Bamberg’s most famous brews, before continuing to Dresden for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Dresden – Baroque Jewel on the Elbe
The capital of Saxony, Dresden, is often called the “Florence on the Elbe” for its magnificent baroque architecture and riverside charm. Begin the day with a guided city tour, discovering the historic old town and its most famous landmarks, including the Zwinger Palace and the Royal Cathedral. Afterwards, enjoy free time for lunch and the chance to explore Dresden’s lively squares and cafés at your own pace. In the afternoon, take part in a guided visit of the Semper Opera House (Semperoper), one of the most beautiful and acoustically renowned opera houses in Europe. Then visit the Frauenkirche, whose magnificent dome dominates the skyline — you can explore the interior freely and experience this symbol of peace and reconstruction at your leisure. Day 10: Onward to Berlin
Travel north to Berlin, Germany’s vibrant and ever-changing capital. Free time for lunch. During your guided city tour in the afternoon, see the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag building, the Berlin Wall remains, and the famous Unter den Linden boulevard.
Berlin combines rich history with a creative modern lifestyle – from world-class museums to trendy neighborhoods like Kreuzberg and Prenzlauer Berg. Overnight in Berlin.
Day 11: Exploring Berlin
See Berlin from a different perspective on a cruise along the River Spree, passing many of the city’s most iconic landmarks. The afternoon is free for shopping, visiting museums, or relaxing in one of the city’s many cafés.
In the evening, enjoy a festive farewell dinner to celebrate the memories made throughout your German adventure. Overnight in Berlin.
Day 12: Departure from Berlin
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight. You leave Germany with lasting memories — from romantic castles and forest landscapes to historic cities and the modern pulse of Berlin.
