Day 1: Arrival - Spreewald
After your arrival in Berlin, you will be picked up and drive to Spreewald. There you will take a boat trip on the channels of this biosphere reserve. Afterwards, you will visit the Spreewaldmuseum in Lehde. Overnight stay in Görlitz.
Day 2: Bautzen - Bastei - Dresden
In the morning you will leave Görlitz and head to Dresden. On your way, you will stop in Bautzen. The city has a beautiful old town area and is also called the “City of Towers”. Next you will drive to „Bastei“, a rock formation in the region of Saxon Switzerland. From this view point you will have a beautiful panorama over the Elbe valley and the Elbe river. Overnight stay in Dresden.
Day 3: Dresden
Today you will do some sightseeing in Dresden. You will visit two well-known art galleries “Grünes Gewölbe” and “Alte Meister”, the baroque building “Zwinger”; the city’s armory and porcelain collection and the beautiful Frauenkirche. Overnight stay in Dresden.
Day 4: Meißen - Naumburg - Erfurt
After breakfast you will drive to Meißen to visit the porcelain factory and the museum including a special exhibition. Then you will stop in Naumburg where you will be able to view the famous cathedral. Afterwards, you leave for Erfurt and see “Krämerbrücke” a unique bridge which is lined with half-timbered houses. Overnight stay in Erfurt.
Day 5: Wartburg, Saalfeld
Today you will visit Wartburg where Martin Luther translated parts of the bible. Next you will take a look at the city of Saalfeld and visit Saalfeld’s fairy grotto, a former mine. In the afternoon you will drive back to Erfurt and visit the city’s cathedrale. Overnight stay in Erfurt.
Day 6: Erfurt - Bad Frankenhausen
Today you will drive to Bad Frankenhausen and visit the art gallery “Panorama Museum”. Overnight stay in the Harz Mountains.
Day 7: Magdeburg - Berlin
After breakfast you will drive to Magdeburg where you will visit the “Grüne Zitadelle” a building designed by the famous artist Hundertwasser. Afterwards, you will head to Berlin, Germany’s capital city. Overnight stay in Berlin.
Day 8 - 10: Berlin
You will spend these three days visiting some of the most famous sights of Berlin. They include: the Reichstag building, Paris Square with the famous Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie and the East Side Gallery, the Jewish area , the New Synagogue and the Jewish Museum. Further you will see the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Memorial Church, the Berlin Museum Island and different major squares. Around Berlin, you will visit the Grünewald train station, Villa Wannsee, the Sanssouci castle in Potsdam and Prenzlauerberg. Overnight stays in Berlin.
Day 11: Departure Today you will head to the airport and fly back.
