Day 1: Arrival in Berlin

Welcome to the vibrant, dynamic city of Berlin, a city famous for its diversity and exciting culture. Your tour escort will meet you at the airport, where you will begin your adventure with an orientation tour of Berlin. As you traverse the illustrious Unter den Linden Avenue, marvel at the many historical sites of importance, such as the imposing Brandenburg Gate and the gorgeous and culturally vital Museum Island. A stop at the poignant Checkpoint Charlie will provide insight into Berlin's turbulent political and cultural past. 

The afternoon is at your leisure to settle in.

In the evening we welcome you with a dinner at the restaurant in the TV Tower. Enjoy exquisite food while enjoying a wonderful view over Berlin.

Day 2: Vibrant Berlin

This morning’s theme is culinary. Your local guide will take you on a culinary adventure of Berlin. You will visit a farmer’s market, see small pubs, restaurants that offer specialties and trendy cafes. Enjoy insider tips on where to eat in Berlin including, vegan, ethnic food and even classic burgers. The taste of Berlin! For Lunch you will experience delicious typical Berlin street food.

The afternoon’s theme is street art and urban gardening. You cannot find this on your own and it’s not in any travel guide! This is “IN” and constantly on the move. You’ll see Berlin street art, which will make you smile, think or even find yourself in it. You’ll learn everything about the contrasts between gentrification and modern urban development. You’ll be immersed in the most popular quarter where contemporary artists settle and become immortalized. Of course, you can also see the East Side Gallery - but where does art live in the now? Where is the unique street art on house walls, in parks and on the banks of the river Spree?

Making blooming gardens out of nothing. The 2nd part of the afternoon is marked by urban gardening. You see cool gardens, the likes of which you can only find in Berlin. Let yourself be transported into a very special atmosphere when you visit the communal garden on a former airfield where vegetables are now grown and the focus is on cultural and social exchanges. Discover a special kind of garden in the middle of Berlin's "concrete desert" and marvel at the view of the city. This tour will show you why Berlin is so unique and endearing! You would NEVER find these attractions on your own.

Enjoy dinner at a vegan restaurant and let yourself be surprised by the taste.

Day 3: Delightful Dresden

This morning, you will continue your quest for delicious cuisine by travelling to beautiful Dresden, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour of Dresden. Beginning with a coach tour along the glittering Elbe River, you will be inspired by the amazing historic castles around picturesque Dresden.  Discover the beauty of the Großer Garten, the enchanting tree-lined avenues and secret laneways of the Neustadt quarter.  Continue your tour on foot and admire the magnificent Frauenkirche and its colossal dome, one of the largest in Europe, and learn about the fascinating history of this historical building.  View the lavish Dresden Zwinger, where three centuries of splendid architecture and history converge. Marvel at the beauty of the Semper Opera as you enjoy a guided visit of this Opera house. Next to the Frauenkirche, the Semper Opera is also a symbol of Dresden.

This afternoon, a visit to a local bakery will be certain to delight.  Watch as a favourite Saxon sweet treat, Eirschecke, is created using apples, curd and poppy seeds.  Sample this regional delicacy as you appreciate your day in this fine city.

In the late afternoon you will continue to Karlovy Vary / Czech Republic for dinner and overnight.


Day 4: Recharge your batteries at West Bohemian spa triangle

Cures, spas and health resorts have a centuries-old tradition in the Czech Republic. Thanks to the area’s mineral-rich springs, the region around the key spa towns of Karlovy Vary, Mariánské Lázně, Františkovy Lázně and Jáchymov is known as Bohemian spa triangle. As the waters possess medicinal qualities we invite you to enjoy different spa treatments. Let yourself be pampered in the elegant spa houses and magnificent spa parks and enjoy a day of relaxation.

At dinner, treat your taste buds with local specialties like herb liqueur and spa wafers.

Day 5: Day Excursion to Prague

Today you will take a trip to Prague.  Aptly nicknamed "The City of 100 Spires", Prague is a masterpiece of architectural splendor and historical wealth. After you arrive, revel in a

fascinating walking tour of old Prague. Stroll through the ancient streets of this charming yet cosmopolitan city, rich in history and vibrant culture. Traverse the ancient yet elegant Charles Bridge, an architectural marvel of the 1300s with its many handsome arches.  The historical and colourful Astronomical Clock, steeped in legend and history. The clock, which features an hourly performance, is over 600 years old and is deeply rooted in the culture of the city.

After lunch, you will visit Prague Castle, a colossal structure of great historical significance, dating back to the 9th century.  With its many soaring towers, ornate churches, exquisite gardens and historical grandeur, the Prague Castle makes for an enriching afternoon of enlightenment.

Enjoy an excursion to a famed local brewery for an evening of merriment and revelry.  Dine while you indulge yourself on local cuisine and drinks. Afterwards we travel back to our hotel in the region of Karlovy Vary.


Day 6: Continue to Wachau / Austria

Today you will travel on to Austria to the Wachau region. On the way there you will drive through the Czech Republic. A stop in Cesky Krumlov breaks up the long drive. Here you will visit the historic old town with its Baroque castle and park – all UNESCO world heritage sites.

Day 7: Wachau region

The "Wachau Cultural Landscape" is part of the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites due to its Mediterranean climate and landscape which is not typical for this region. Furthermore, it is home to some of Austria's oldest wineries and distilleries. Let’s discover the beauty of this region!

Your day starts with a guided visit of a vineyard. Learn about the varieties of wine grown here, how it is harvested and what makes it so special. A picnic with local specialties rounds up this visit. Next visit is Melk Abbey. This ancient monastery, perched high on the edge of a mighty rock formation above the town of Melk, is a vividly colored display of architectural beauty and elegance.  The dazzling religious treasures within its walls, along with the gorgeous building itself, create a lovely morning excursion that will be certain to impress its visitors.

In the afternoon, you'll get a whole new perspective on the region: from the boat on Danube river, you'll discover romantic waterfronts, hidden vineyards and flowering meadows.

Of course, a visit to a wine cellar with wine tasting should not be missed today.

Dinner at a local restaurant with local food like asparagus and apricots round off the day.

Day 8: Continue to Budapest with stop in Vienna

Today you’ll continue to Budapest. En route you’ll stop in Vienna, Austria. A guided tour will show you the most iconic sights of Vienna, while learning about its colorful and sometimes turbulent history.  Marvel at the great towers of St. Stephen's Cathedral, with its dramatic Romanesque and Gothic spires. A journey along Vienna's famed "Ring Road" will delight sightseers with its numerous illustrious buildings of importance and grandeur.  The Vienna State Opera, Parliament, and the Town Hall are all located along this exquisite center of beauty. Afterwards you have the chance to visit a typical coffee house to experience the coffee house tradition which means take your time, enjoy your coffee while sitting in the café and reading a book. Continue to Budapest in late afternoon.

Day 9: Budapest Sightseeing

Welcome to Hungary. After breakfast you will take a city tour of Budapest. You will start your tour through the Pest district. On the Heroes' Square you will see the Millennium Monument. Behind it is the city park with a lake, the zoo the Szechenyi Bath and the Vajdahunyad Castle. Here also begins the "Champs Elysées" of Budapest, Andrassy út. Villas, museums and monuments are lined up as well as the Opera House. Continue to St. Stephen's Basilica and the Parliament, the largest building in Hungary. On the western shore lies Buda. The southern plateau is dominated by the mighty Royal Palace. In the center of the Castle District, the tower of Matthias Church soars high. Behind the Coronation Church towers the Fishermen's Bastion, Budapest's landmark. A stroll through the large market hall is also not to be missed. Enjoy lunch here in this exotic and stimulating atmosphere.

In the afternoon you will drive to Esztergom. The city on the Danube is the seat of the Archbishop of Esztergom, the head of the Hungarian Catholic Church. Visit the Basilica of Esztergom, the largest church in the country with the largest and world's only altarpiece painted on linen. Dinner and overnight in Budapest.


Day 10: Budapest Wellness

Today you will visit the most famous Bath of Budapest's thermal baths: the Gellert Bath. The bathing culture established by the Turks had its boom already in the 16th / 17th century. Budapest today offers its guests a total of 10 spas, such as the Szechenyi Bath, the Gellert Bath or the Rudas Bath. Spend the day in rest and relaxation. In the evening dinner together at the hotel. Overnight in Budapest


Day 11: Departure from Budapest

An exciting tour full of culture, relaxation and well-being comes to an end.
