As a place of interest, the monastery is a sought-after attraction for visitors from all over the world. Since the Middle Ages, people have brewed beer in Andechs. Documented evidence goes back to Albrecht III, the Duke of Wittelsbach, who founded the Benedictine abbey on the mountain of Andechs in 1455. You will visit a hops producing facility (during harvest time - the end of August to middle September). Continue to Abensberg, where Kuchlbauer's beer world welcomes you - experience the bliss of beer and art. Here, one does not only come to grips with the art of brewing Bavarian beer, one can also see the largest coherent piece of art (Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper") in the vaulted cellar. Correct pouring and ceremonial chinking of mugs are only some of the events during a wheat beer (Weißbier) tasting. Experience an overnight stay and dinner in the area of Regensburg.
