Day 1: Arrival and Magdeburg's two "Ottos"
After your arrival in Magdeburg you will learn about the two "Ottos", who permanently influenced Magdeburg: Emperor Otto the Great and the physicist and inventor Otto von Guericke. Who was Otto the Great and where did he influence Magdeburg? Day 2: Body and soul of Magdeburg
Explore Magdeburg today and discover the city's most beautiful squares and attractions, and visit Abtshof, a 90-year-old traditional company in the heart of Magdeburg-Buckau. On the company premises you’ll be able to enjoy historical monuments, production facilities and the stylistic Absinth cellar. Here, products that are well-known all over Germany, such as Absinth 66, liqueurs and herbal spirits are produced. Of course, you can also taste these fine drinks while you’re there! Then you’ll walk down to the Elbe river. Here you’ll have a good time at the Mueckenwirt directly at the Elbe and enjoy a barbecue buffet. After lunch, you’ll get on a boat at the Mueckenwirt and take a short trip back to the city center. Here you’ll have time for shopping and ice-cream.
Day 3: Gigantic Magdeburg waterway crossing and departure
In the morning you’ll see the gigantic waterway crossing in the beautiful landscape near Magdeburg, the direct connection between the Mittelland and Elbe-Havel canals. Enjoy lunch at an idyllic located restaurant. Continue your trip to another region of Germany.
