Tour suggestion
Day 1: Stuttgart – Paris
Arrival in Stuttgart in the morning. You will meet your guide for a city tour through Stuttgart. Afterwards to will drive to Paris. Dinner and overnight stay in the area of Paris.
Day 2: Paris incl. Louvre and Centre Pompidou
After breakfast you will visit the Louvre incl. guided tour. The Louvre is the largest museum in the world and attracts more than 5 million visitors per year. During a tour of the Louvre, you will learn about the interesting exhibits. Next highlight is “The Centre national d'art et de culture Georges Pompidou”, better known as Centre Pompidou which is a public art and cultural center in Paris. It should ensure all residents and tourists free access to knowledge. It houses the Musée National d'Art Moderne with important works of the 20th Century, the library Bibliothèque Publique d'Information (BPI) with 2000 reading places, the music research center IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique / Musique), a children's workshop, cinema, theater and lecture rooms, a bookstore, a restaurant and a café. Afterwards you will do a cruise on the river Seine. Dinner and overnight stay in the area of Paris.
Day 3: Paris incl. Versailles
In the morning you will see the main sights of Paris. Afterwards you go to the Palace of Versailles. During a walk through the park and gardens you will learn more about the details, stories and legends about the kings of Versailles. Then you have the possibility to visit the castle interior on your own. Dinner and overnight stay in the area of Paris.
Day 4: Paris – Brussels – Amsterdam
On your way to Amsterdam you will stop in Brussels for a guided city tour. Dinner and overnight stay in the area of Amsterdam.
Day 5: Amsterdam and Ijsselmeer
After breakfast you will explore the capital of Amsterdam with your tour guide. You will see many of the interesting sights. Afterwards you will do a tour to the North of the Netherlands. First highlight is Volendam, a town, well known for its old fishing boats and the traditional clothing still worn by some residents. Then you will continue to the open-air museum Zaanse Schans. It has a collection of well-preserved historic windmills and houses; the ca. 35 houses from all over the Zaanstreek were moved to the museum area in the 1970s. You will visit one of the windmills. Dinner and overnight stay in the area of Amsterdam.
Day 6: Amsterdam – Cologne
After breakfast you continue your trip to Cologne. You will explore the area around the Cathedral and the Old Town. Many sights are concentrated within one square kilometer of the Cathedral, town hall and the old town with the Romanesque church of Groß St. Martin. In the narrow, cobble-stoned alleys of the Old Town and on the busy squares like the Roncalliplatz, the Alter Markt or the Heumarkt, you will get a feeling for life in the cathedral city, yesterday and today. Afterwards you will visit the most famous building in the city and find out why the people of Cologne wanted to build "the largest church in the world. In the afternoon you will do a cruise on the river Rhine and see the city from the wate. Dinner and overnight stay in the area of Cologne.
Day 7: Departure
