Day 1: Arrival in Munich

In the morning your guide will show you the main sights and hidden highlights of Munich while you will find out about Munich’s rich history, legend and folklore. Also the National Socialism will play a main role in you’re your. Munich has been the origin of the party NSDAP and its headquarters until 1945. Munich was also the scene of the attempted putsch of 1923 and of Hitler’s subsequent trial. And it was here in 1938 that Goebbels called for the nation-wide pogrom against the Jewish population. In the afternoon you visit the Munich City Museum where you learn more about the history of National Socialism in Munich and Bavaria. Dinner at the hotel or a restaurant near by.
Day 3: Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site
During a half day trip you will visit the Dachau Concentration Camp. A guide will show you around and will answer your questions. On March 22, 1933, a few weeks after Adolf Hitler had been appointed Reich Chancellor, a concentration camp for political prisoners was set up in Dachau. This camp served as a model for all later concentration camps and as a "school of violence" for the SS men under whose command it stood. The Memorial Site on the grounds of the former concentration camp was established in 1965 on the initiative of and in accordance with the plans of the surviving prisoners who had joined together to form the Comité International de Dachau. In the afternoon you will visit the Kehlsteinhaus known in English as the Eagle’s Nest. A place in the private electrical bus will be reserved. After a ride in the Original Brass Elevator a guide will give you a detailed historical account of the Eagles Nest from its’ conception up to the present day.
