Germany is well known for its romantic Christmas Markets with its delicious food and drinks as well as handcrafted gifts and Christmas decorations. We invite you to come enjoy hot mulled wines in front of romantic castles and famous buildings like the old town hall at Marienplatz in Munich or the Residence in Wuerzburg.


Day 1: Munich

Welcome to Munich, the capital of the province of Bavaria. For a proper start into your trip, you will enjoy a welcome dinner together with your companions.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Munich & Christmas market hopping

Today you will explore Munich. During a guided walking tour, you get to see Munich´s most intriguing sights, e.g. Victuals‘ Market, Marienplatz, Sendlinger Gate, Palace of Justice, New Court, Opera. The tour offers an exciting variety of sights and many anecdotes. To warm up, enjoy a cup of hot mulled wine at the Christmas market at famous Marienplatz. 

Afterwards, go Christmas Market Hopping with your tour escort. Munich has more than 30 Christmas markets to offer - how many markets can you visit within one afternoon?

Day 3: Ratisbon

Today you will continue to Ratisbon. During a guided walking tour, you’ll get to know the city and visit the Palace of St. Emmeram, the residence of family of Thurn & Taxis. Afterwards, the Palace of St. Emmeram has one more highlight to offer – a lovely Christmas Market situated in its courtyard.

Day 4: Nuremberg

After breakfast your tour guide will show you Nuremberg. The city was once an imperial residence, a powerful free imperial city and an international trading center. The walking tour through the Old Town offers interesting facts about the castle and fountains, the church and art as well as the history and present of the city.

In the afternoon, you’ll visit Nuremberg’s famous “Christkindles Markt”. It is one of the oldest Christmas Markets in Germany and definitely a highlight. Don’t miss out on tasting a world famous product from Nuremberg – the Ginger Bread.

Day 5: Rothenburg o.d.T.

Afterwards you continue your trip northwards. Next stop is the picturesque town of Rothenburg. A must-do during the Advent period is a visit to the famous “Rothenburg Reiterlesmarkt”. The name originates from a germanic legend and refers to a lucky figure who brings joy to all people through his visit. And do you know the Snowball as something to eat? Give it a try! 

Afterwards, you will have time to go on a shopping spree through the many christmas stores in the city of Rothenburg, where you can find the largest selection of German Christmas decorations worldwide.

Day 6: Wuerzburg

You will begin this day with a guided city tour through Wuerzburg. Revel in the opulent baroque and rococo architecture of this beautiful city, which was rebuilt after World War 2.  Once the great seat of power for the prince-bishops of Germany, no visit to Wurzburg is complete without a guided tour of one of Europe’s most renowned baroque castles - the UNESCO World Heritage appointed Wurzburg Residence. This colossal palace, with its over 300 rooms, illustrates the grand power of the ancient regional rulers. 

Afterwards you can enjoy some free time to visit Wuerzburg’s Christmas Market.

Day 7: Frankfurt

In the morning you will make your way to Frankfurt am Main. On a guided tour, you’ll see the historic old city sites, Roemerberg and Kaiserdom, as well as the finance and banking district.  The skyscrapers here are among the highest in Europe, which is why the city has been given the nickname “Mainhattan.”
The afternoon will be at your disposal. You can go shopping or visit a Christmas Market. Feel free to do whatever you like on the last day of your trip.

Day 8: Departure from Frankfurt

Depending on your departure time you will have the possibility to go Christmas shopping and buy some last-minute gifts or souvenirs for your loved ones.
