Day 1: Fantastic Frankfurt

Welcome to the energetic city of Frankfurt, with its futuristic skyline and dynamic culture. Your tour guide will meet you at the airport, where you will begin your adventure with a private tour of this eclectic city.  Prepared to be dazzled by the gleaming modern buildings while learning more about the rich history and ancient architecture of this powerful financial centre.

Continue onward to the Technik Museum Sinsheim, an impressive and interactive collection of man-made technology.  A vast array of machinery, from colossal steam engines to the sleek and internationally Concorde Jet await your discovery.
This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with your tour companions at one of celebrated local restaurants of Stuttgart.

Day 2: The Marvels of Mercedes

This morning, enjoy a visit to the architecturally sleek Mercedes-Benz Museum, home to a variety of both historical vehicles and cutting-edge machinery.  Explore the vibrant history of this world-renowned luxury brand.

This afternoon, you will continue onward to the Black Forest region, an area of outstanding natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.

Day 3: Living Sustainably in the Black Forest

Today, a tour of the inspiringly sustainable villages of the Black Forest will be certain to enlighten and fascinate. These amazingly designed, green communities are home to residents who make it their goal to live a modern, energy-efficient lifestyle within the ancient Black Forest. Enjoy lunch in the enchanting Black Forest with your tour companions.

Continue your day with additional insight into the traditional lifestyle of the Black Forest.  Learn more about the history of this charming region as you bake your own bread at a specialized workshop, and delight in a visit to a Cuckoo Clock demonstration. Dinner and overnight in the southern area of the Black Forest.


Day 4: Green Living in Freiburg

Prepare to be impressed as you visit the beautiful city of Freiburg, with its cutting-edge environmental policies and administration.  City planning and administration are given an upgrade in this green city of renewability and transformation.  Gain insight into all aspects of this brilliant metropolis as you tour the city via integrated transportation, revealing more about the myriad of environmentally supportive policies and innovations help make this city a leader in today’s society.  Highlights include a tour of the Platz der Alten Synagoge, which was remodelled with community and green living in mind, and a visit to the gorgeous Solar Settlement, a beacon of how green living doesn’t compromise an amazing lifestyle or amenities.

Day 5: A Lovely Journey to Lake Constance

After breakfast, soak in the breathtaking scenery of the Black Forest as you steam through this lush landscape on the historic Sauschwänzlebahn.  This historic steam locomotive cuts a winding path through the heart of this stunning forest, made accessible through a series of viaducts and tunnels.

After exploring the Black Forest by rail, continue onward to the serene waters of Lake Constance, enjoying lunch en route.

A visit to the UNESCO-designated Unteruhldingen allows an immersive experience into the lives of the ancient lake dwellers who lived here long ago. This village of piled, over-the-lake cottages houses a myriad of interactive experiences which allow the visitor to gain insight into the archaic settlement.

Day 7: The Brilliance of BMW

After breakfast, your tour group will continue to Munich, enjoying lunch en route to the famous BMW Welt.
The BMW Welt, a spectacular example of modern architecture and innovation, serves as a vast exhibition centre and also houses a gleaming showroom of the BMW, Mini and Rolls Royce vehicles.  Unearth the dazzling history of these luxurious brands as you view the huge collection of machinery and automobiles.

This afternoon, a visit to the BMW Factory will allow you a glimpse into the design and manufacturing of these internationally renowned vehicles.  View the spectacular mechanics and process of the factory floor as you gain insight into this intricate process.

Day 8: The Wonders of Walchensee and Magnificent Munich

Begin your day with a visit of the Walchensee Hydroelection Power Station with it’s fascinating design and history.  Marvel at the huge machinery and intricate process required to power a huge area of Bavaria.

This afternoon, head back to Munich for lunch and a combination walking and coach tour of this fine city. The stately buildings surrounding the Marienplatz (Mary's Square), including the dramatic Gothic architecture of The Old City Hall will be certain to impress. Continue onwards to the Odeonsplatz, with its grand square and buildings, built in the 19th century.    Enjoy spectacular views of the wonderful Nymphenburg Palace, a truly gorgeous building, as you tour the city by coach.  The Englischer Garten (English Garden), with its extensive grounds complete with bridges, waterfalls, flora and fauna, is a wonderful stop on your tour of Munich.

Day 9: Amazing Audi

After breakfast, travel to Ingolstadt to explore the world of Audi automobiles.  A visit to the Audi factory offers an interesting view of the actual creation of Audi vehicles.  Watch with awe as a collection of powerful robotic arms piece together each automobile.  The Audi Museum whisks visitors back to 1899 to discover the conception of this venerated brand, then brings them forward through to present day through a series of exhibits.  Prepare to be surprised by the innovative design and mechanics of these powerful machines.  Lunch with your tour companions in the lovely town of Ingolstadt.

Day 10: The Beauty of Nuremberg

The secrets and intrigue of this breath-taking city will be revealed while you view the gorgeous architecture of the Old Town.   The magnificent St. Selbadus Church, one of the oldest and most majestic churches of Nuremberg, originally dated back to the 1200s, and was carefully restored to its former glory after World War 2.  The Albrecht Duererhaus, with its unique combination of sandstone and timber frame and the Nuremberg Castle command the centre of the Old Town and are difficult to miss. Admire this fantastically preserved Medieval strong-hold and learn about its colourful history.

After lunch, delight in a visit to the oldest railway museum in the world.   The Deutshe Bahn Museum has been enthralling visitors since 1882, with its vast collection of locomotives and railway artefacts.  Discover more about the history and future of the railway as you explore the various exhibits on offer.

Day 11: Traditional handicrafts of Erzgebirge

Today you will continue onwards to the Erzgebirge region, famous for its outstanding woodwork and craftsmanship. You will have the opportunity to visit the Erzgebirgische Volkskunst, where you will be able to observe the talented local craftsmen create their wooden works of art, including the Erzgebirge Christmas pyramid.  These masters will guide you through the creation of their craft, using various traditional techniques.  Visit the retail shop afterwards to pick up a beautifully unique souvenir.

Day 12: Dazzling Dresden and Gleaming Glaserne Manufaktur

You will start the day with a city tour of Dresden, once known as the “Jewel Box” of Germany, due to its architecturally stunning city centre.  Revel in your surroundings while learning about Dresden, present and past. A combination walking and coach tour will give you the opportunity to admire the inspiring sights of this gorgeous metropolis.

After lunch, a guided visit of Glaserne Manufaktur takes you into the future of automobile transportation.  A host of activities and experiences can be enjoyed on-site, including manufacturing, self-driving vehicles and futuristic design and features.  Both young and old alike are enthralled by the colossal number of features that this colossal exhibition.

Day 13: The Essence of Berlin                                            

Today you continue to the vibrant, dynamic city of Berlin, a city famous for its diversity and exciting culture. Enjoy a private tour of Berlin.   As you traverse the illustrious Unter den Linden Avenue, marvel at the many historical sites of importance, such as the imposing Brandenburg Gate and the gorgeous and culturally vital Museum Island.   A stop at the poignant Checkpoint Charlie and the Wall Memorial will provide insight into Berlin's turbulent political and cultural past. 

Celebrate your eye-opening journey at this evening’s farewell dinner.  Enjoy the delicious food of Berlin at one of its many wonderful restaurants.

Transfer to the airport and prepare for your departure as you say farewell to your amazing adventure.
