Day 1: Let's go!
Arrival by plane to Amsterdam, welcome by your tour escort at the airport. Depending on your arrival time, you can take a sightseeing tour of Amsterdam. Transfer to Utrecht / Bunnik region. Dinner and overnight stay in Utrecht / Bunnik region.
Day 2: Stage 1 = Cheesy (approx. 60 km / 37 miles)
Before setting off today towards Gouda, you will have time to explore Utrecht. The city has a university, many well-preserved medieval churches and a wealth of other monuments. Afterwards, you will depart for the cheese city of Gouda. The scenic stage from Utrecht/Bunnik passes atmospheric river courses, wide polders, lakes and marshy moorland. Dinner and overnight stay in Gouda region.
Day 3: Stage 2 = Royal (approx. 50 km / 31 miles)
If today is a Thursday, you must visit the cheese market in Gouda. Through the open Fehn pastures you cycle towards The Hague, the royal seat of government of the Netherlands. Not far from the city on the North Sea is the seaside resort of Scheveningen. Dinner and overnight stay in Scheveningen region.
Day 4: Stage 3 = Quaffable (approx. 55 km / 34 miles)
This day takes you south along the North Sea coast. You cycle through the dune area and pass several seaside resorts. Maassluis is an old fishing village and in the old Dutch Schiedam there are mills and Genever distilleries. Genever is a Dutch national drink - be sure to try it! Finally, you reach the fishing village of Vlaardingen and then Rotterdam. Dinner and overnight stay in Rotterdam region.
Day 5: Stage 4 = Record-breaking (approx. 50 km / 31 miles)
First highlight of the day: a harbor tour in Rotterdam - discover the third largest harbor in the world from the water! From Rotterdam, continue by bike via Ijsselmonde to Kinderdijk, a small town known for its mills, which were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997. Afterwards we continue to Dordrecht, the oldest city in the Netherlands. Dinner and overnight stay in Dordrecht region.
Day 6: Done! Journey home from Amsterdam
A beautiful journey comes to an end...
