Day 1: Arrival
Welcome to “the land in which the citrons bloom…”
Day 2: “Enjoy – pure love of life”
During a journey along the Gardesana Orientale you will discover such attractive villages as Sirmione, Malcesine and Torbole. Your tour will be crowned by really unique and diverse culinary delicacies. The beginning will be a visit of Bardonlino’s oil-museum. After that you will enjoy home-made specialities like oil, olive paste and self-pressed wine in an original Cantina. At lunchtime you will taste traditional fish specialities and home-made San Vigilino (biscuits made according to an old recipe). In the evening you will try Lardo (bacon) together with some different Grappas.
Day 3: Mantua – Mincio – Parco Sigurtà
Experience already on your first stage in Mantua the Italian flair as well as the pure enjoyment of art. During a stroll through the city you will see the most known buildings of Gonzaga. Perhaps you will have the possibility to visit the Pallazzo Ducale and the Pallazzo del Te. Afterwards you can relax on a boat trip on the Mincio up to the national park of Vallazza. In the afternoon you will learn more about cheese production in Italy when you visit a cheese dairy – but that is not enough – of course you can taste these delicacies, too. After a short stop in the medieval village Valeggio you will visit the garden paradise of Parco Sigurtà with its more than 30,000 plants growing on 560,000 square meters. You can go through this garden which has been designed by a pupil of Palladio comfortably by train. In the evening you will be spoiled with Italian pasta.
