Pre-Tour in Prague
Day 1: Arrival and Introduction to Prague
When you arrive at Prague Airport, your tour guide and driver will welcome you. You will be transferred by coach to your hotel to drop off your luggage before starting your city exploration.
You will then enjoy a half-day guided tour of Prague. Stroll through the enchanting Old Town, wander along cobblestone streets, and admire the Baroque facades. Visit the Old Town Square, see the Astronomical Clock, and Týn Church. Cross the iconic Charles Bridge to enjoy panoramic views of the Vltava River, and explore Wenceslas Square, the vibrant heart of Prague.
In the evening, you will have a welcome dinner at a traditional Bohemian restaurant with a three-course menu and tap water included.
Day 2: Explore Prague In-Depth and Beyond the Tourist Path
After breakfast, you will set off on a full-day guided tour of Prague and its surroundings with a local guide.
The day begins with a visit to the Prague Castle District, one of the most significant landmarks in the country. Walking through the picturesque palace gardens, you will pass charming cafés and artisan shops. Entry to the castle grounds can be arranged as an optional add-on.
Following an individual lunch break, the tour continues with a more unconventional perspective of the city. You will explore the trendy district of Holešovice, a former industrial area transformed into a creative hub. Here, a visit to the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art offers insight into modern Czech culture.
The afternoon includes free time in Letná Park, where panoramic views of Prague provide excellent photo opportunities. The day concludes with a visit to the remarkable Baroque Strahov Library (entrance not included), known for its stunning historic interiors.
Dinner in the evening is at leisure, allowing to independently explore Prague’s culinary scene in the Old Town.
Day 3: Transfer to the Port
After breakfast, you will be transferred by coach to the embarkation port in Vilshofen. A qualified tour escort will accompany you to ensure a smooth journey.
Boarding and your Danube river cruise will be organized independently – not by APPINA TRAVEL.
Post-Tour in Budapest
Day 1: Discover Budapest
After disembarking in Budapest, you are greeted at the pier by your tour guide and driver. After loading your luggage onto the coach, your full-day exploration begins.
The tour starts on the Buda side of the city with a visit to Gellért Hill. From its summit, crowned by the Statue of Liberty, guests enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Budapest. The site has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 1987.
The journey continues to the Fisherman’s Bastion, an architectural highlight offering fairy-tale-like terraces and views over the Danube. Nearby, Matthias Church and the historic Castle District provide further insights into the city’s rich past.
After an individual lunch and optional hotel check-in, you may choose a more active tour with a walk up Castle Hill.
In the evening, enjoy a dinner at a traditional Hungarian restaurant, featuring a three-course menu with regional flavors.
Day 2: Departure
Following breakfast, you will be transferred by coach from your hotel to Budapest Airport. Your tour escort will ensure a smooth and comfortable departure.
