Tour suggestion
Day 1: Arrival Rothenburg
Arrival at Frankfurt airport. Your guide will meet you and take you to your coach. Drive to the town of Rothenburg. Visit the interesting Kriminal Museum which is housed in an historic building dating back to 1396. Dinner and overnight in Rothenburg.
Day 2: Rothenburg, Dinkelsbuhl & Dachau
Sightseeing tour of Rothenburg this morning. Continue to visit another fairy-tale village, Dinkelsbuhl. Then on to historic Munich, capital of Bavaria. En route to Munich, visit the former Concentration Camp at Dachau, now a museum and memorial to those who were imprisoned there. Dinner and overnight in Munich.
Day 3: Munich
Spend the morning seeing the highlights of Munich by coach. Stop to see the impressive Nymphenburg Palace standing in its own park. Be at the Marienplatz in time to see the world-famous Glockenspiel with the mechanical figures who joust and play instruments as the clock strikes. Afterwards you will visit the Deutsches Museum, the largest technical museum in the world. Free time in the afternoon for exploring the pedestrian walkways around the Marienplatz. Dinner this evening includes a Bavarian Evening with a 3-course menu and traditional music at a local restaurant. Overnight in Munich.
Day 4: Nuremberg
After breakfast you will have a full day excursion to Nuremberg one of the most beautiful mediaeval cities of Germany. Short sightseeing tour by bus. In the afternoon meet your local guide and start your walking tour. Afterwards you will visit the Kaiserburg Nuremberg (entrance is free of charge for student groups (max. 18 years old)). Return to Munich for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Salzburg
Depart Munich this morning travelling to Austria, Salzburg. Your guide takes you on a sightseeing walking tour of the town. Highlights you will see are for example the Salzburg Dom with its magnificent bronze doors and Mozart's birthplace (no entrance fees included). You end the tour with the funicular ride up to the Hohensalzburg Fortress perched on the rock dominating the town. After the tour of the castle you will stroll down the steep hill with the escort for free time in delightful Salzburg with its narrow streets and wrought-iron shop signs. Dinner and overnight in Salzburg.
Day 6: Berchtesgaden
Depart this morning to the area of Berchtesgaden and visit the former Eagle’s nest of Hitler. Dinner and overnight in Salzburg.
Day 7: Vienna
This morning after breakfast you will depart for Vienna. After lunch you will have a guided city tour. Dinner and overnight Vienna.
Day 8: Schoenbrunn Palace
After breakfast depart by coach to Schoenbrunn Palace for guided highlight tour. Free time during the afternoon. Dinner and overnight Vienna.
Day 9: Departure
Transfer to the airport for you flight home.
