Tour suggestion
Day 1: Arrival in Stuttgart
After checking-in in your hotel you will do a guided city tour through Stuttgart. Your guide will show you the main sights of the city. Dinner an overnight stay in Stuttgart.
Day 2: Mercedes Museum (closed on Mondays)
In the morning you will visit the Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart. The museum contains more than 160 vehicles, some dating back to the very earliest days of the motor engine. The vehicles are maintained by the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center of Fellbach. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to explore Stuttgart on your own. Dinner an overnight stay in Stuttgart.
Day 3: Stuttgart - Augsburg - Munich
On your way to Munich you will stop in Augsburg for a guided city tour. You will see Rathaus (City Hall), Goldener Saal (Golden Hall), Fuggerei, old city of craftsmen, palaces on the Maximilian road and many more. Dinner an overnight stay in Munich.
Day 4: Munich and Lake Chiemsee
After breakfast you will have a guided walking city tour through Munich. You will see many of the important sights of the city center e.g. the town hall, Marienplatz and the „Cathedral of Our Dear Lady“. Afterwards you will drive to Lake Chiemsee. From Prien you will take a boat to Herrenchiemsee where you will visit Herrenchiemsee Castle. Before you will go back to Prien you will stop at Fraueninsel for a short walk. Dinner an overnight stay in Munich.
Day 5: Neuschwanstein Castle & Linderhof Castle
Today you will visit two other famous castles – the fabulous Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Castle – both of King Ludwig II. Dinner and overnight stay in Munich.
Day 6: Departure
Tip: This would also be a nice trip during Christmas time as you will find Christmas markets in all visited cities! Highlight is the Christmas market at Fraueninsel (only on 2 weekends).
