Day 1: Arrival in Berlin
Day 2: Berlin
Take the first day to explore Berlin. Your guide is waiting for you to explore - Berlin, how have you changed! During your trip through East and West Berlin you will see the "New Old Center" with the Cathedral, the Red Town Hall, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz etc. and the "New West" with Ku'damm and more. The boat ride on the Spree will offer you a new perspective. Berlin's waterways offer the unique opportunity to view the city center and its sights from the water. This tour takes you past the historical and modern buildings of the Berlin metropolis, but also past green shores as well as dense city landscapes and industrial areas. Relax at the park “Grosser Tiergarten” in the afternoon. It was once the hunting grounds of the Elector and one of the first parks for the German people at the end of the 16th century. It was developed for recreational purposes. Dinner and overnight in Berlin.
Day 3: To the amusement park & court of museums from former times.
In the morning you’ll visit the Glienicke park, which Prince Carl von Prussia changed to the English model with a pleasure ground in 1824. Then you’ll take a look at the Hofgaertnermuseum. The owners have always decorated themselves with their gardens. In comparison, the other nursery gardeners involved are hardly known. However, the garden paradise could not have been created without their specialist knowledge and care. In the afternoon you'll see the Rheinsberg Park. It is one of the few gardens where the change from the rococo to the early landscape garden is clearly recognizable. Afterwards, you’ll take a boat trip. Experience the beautiful lakes in the Rheinsberger Lake District. From Grienerick Lake you’ll go to Rheinsberger Lake, past Remus Island and back to Rheinsberg. Dinner and overnight in Berlin.
Day 4: "Laupenpieper" meets Prince Pueckler-Muskau
In the morning you will receive an insight into the cultivated garden culture, which has many enthusiastic followers. A Berlin club invites you to enjoy the small garden and oasis in green. Make personal acquaintances with garden gnomes and learn amusing anecdotes from the life in the gardening community. Afterwards we’ll go to Babelsberg Park, which reflects the feeling of life in the mid-19th century and which was designed by Prince Pueckler-Muskau. A climb up Flatow tower is worthwhile: a unique panorama view awaits you (just open on weekends). You continue to Dessau in the evening. Check in to your hotel. Dinner.
Day 5: In the garden region of Dessau-Woerlitz
Did you know that Woerlitz Park served as a source of inspiration for the great garden architects like Lenné? Glide over the canals on a gondola and enjoy the unforgettable views from the water. After lunch, you’ll visit the idyllic area of Luisium, which Prince Franz von Anhalt-Dessau gave to his wife Louise as a private retreat. Continue on to Dresden. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 6: Dresden
At the end of your trip you‘ll explore the baroque city of Dresden. Prelude to the tour is the historic building complex at Theater Square with a guided tour of the huge baroque Zwinger backdrop. From there, the route leads to the center of Kreuzkirche, Altmarkt and Frauenkirche.
In the afternoon you can stroll through the Great Garden and let your soul dangle. It is the largest park in the city and has baroque origins. Its picturesque flowerbeds, stately avenues, fountains, large green spaces, and also its open-air stages make it the green lung of the city and a popular meeting place for locals. Dinner and overnight in Dresden.
